As an emerging artist, building genuine connections through your art is essential. One of the most meaningful ways to do this is by working with and supporting local art galleries. Small galleries especially play a vital role in Brisbane’s creative ecosystem, offering opportunities for artists and accessible cultural experiences for visitors.
In 2025, I made it my mission to work with as many local Brisbane art galleries as possible. Along the way, I’ve discovered a handful of favourites that I now happily recommend to fellow artists, as well as to visitors and tourists looking to explore Brisbane’s vibrant art scene.
This blog post is the third in a series highlighting small art gallery in Brisbane that is well worth a visit.

“Vibrant places” on now at Kaye West Studios Gallery
Kaye West Studios Gallery - one of the small Brisbane galleries that I love
Kaye West Studios Gallery is a gallery to visit in Brisbane. It is located in a busy part of Camp Hill, across the road from the Camp Hill Antique Centre (which is a treasure hunters dream!).
You can spend the perfect day having breakfast at the Tart Cafe (inside the Camp Hill Antique Centre) then cross the road to Kaye West Studios and see the latest rotating exhibits. There’s always something to see in the space with three main rooms to check out.
On now
On now is my solo at Kaye West Studios called “Vibrant Places” which is on until Sunday 7 June.
The exhibit is about:
Colourful paintings with a sense of place in our beautiful Brisbane. Imaginative urban environments, lush gardens, layered landscapes, subtropical flora, character homes and architectural forms.
Also showing now is a Winter collective show.
